报告人简介：James Lam教授在曼彻斯特大学获得理学士学位（一等荣誉），之后在剑桥大学攻读哲学硕士和博士学位。他是裘槎学者、裘槎会士、英国皇家工程院的杰出客座研究员以及长江讲座教授。林教授于 1993 年加入香港大学（目前担任香港大学控制工程系讲座教授），此前曾任教于香港城市大学和墨尔本大学。林教授是特许数学家（CMath）、特许科学家（CSci）、特许工程师（CEng）、电气与电子工程师学会（FIEEE）会士、工程技术学会（FIET）会士、数学及应用学会会士（FIMA）、机械工程师学会会士（FIMechE）、香港工程师学会会士（FHKIE）、亚太人工智能协会会士（FAAIA）、国际工程技术学会杰出会士 （DFIETI）、以及 国际系统与控制科学院 (IASCYS) 院士 。他担任多个期刊的主编，包括 IET Control Theory and Applications、Journal of The Franklin Institute、Proc. IMechE, Part I: Journal of Systems and Control Engineering, Franklin Open和 IET Journal of Engineering。林教授的研究兴趣包括多智能体系统、正系统、布尔网络、网络控制系统和振动控制。他的 Web of Science H 指数为 103，Scopus H 指数为 108。他是一位高被引研究员。

报告摘要：In this talk, the speaker, as Editor-in-Chief of several journals, will share valuable insights on publishing papers. The focus will be on the paper handling and reviewing processes, aiming to help authors minimize desk rejection. Additionally, key considerations for authors and best practices for reviewing papers and joint authorship will be emphasized. Attendees can expect to gain practical tips to enhance their publishing success.
